Fabra Cadabra is a one-person studio with a passion for transforming recycled metal, discarded tools and industrial odds and ends into one-of-a-kind unique, handcrafted sculptures.
It's a creative compassion, a compulsion, breathing new life into things once considered scrap.
Battling entropy to create sustainable sculptures, often reflecting native Australian flora and fauna as well as human/machine forms, transforming mechanical components into sculptural arts.
My journey into sculpture has its roots in a practical trade. I trained and worked as a metal fabricator and welder, later gaining qualifications in engineering. Over the years, I've spent a lot of time working with metal in various structured, functional ways—but I was always drawn to the creative possibilities beyond the blueprint.
Utilising the skills of the trades, while ignoring the limitations.
I'm just some guy—an artistic, autistic bloke. An incurable tinkerer who finds beauty in rust, potential within patina and the unexpected personalities hidden in piles of junk. What started as a hobby has grown into a small, independent business fueled by creativity, caffeine, and a plethora of curse words when things don’t line up quite right.
